A Bengali Queer Drama Gets a Busan Premiere — and a Prize-Winning Producer

Variety reports that producer Neeraj Churi has boarded About an Intimate Matter (Ekanto Byaktigoto Bishoy), a Bengali-language queer drama from Awedacious Originals that will have its world premiere at the 31st Busan International Film Festival.

Churi's Lotus Visual Productions produced Rohan Parashuram Kanawade's Sabar Bonda (Cactus Pears), which won the World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic. That is the package the film arrives with: a premiere slot at one of Asia's major festivals, and a producer whose previous credit carries a jury prize.
