An Unemployed Weatherman Pawns a Teddy Bear in a New Holiday Comedy

Vertical will release Unbearable Christmas this holiday season, a comedy starring SNL alum Alex Moffat, Julia Stiles, Caroline Rhea, Mena Suvari, and Emmy Award winner Stephen Root. Moffat plays Troy Tipton, an out-of-work weatherman whose Christmas mission is to get back the beloved teddy bear he pawned.

The hook is small and specific: a weatherman, a pawned bear, and a holiday deadline. It is the kind of premise that lives or dies on execution, but at least it is not generic.
