Wim Wenders joins a documentary portrait of Peter Lindbergh

Wim Wenders has come aboard “Truth:Beauty,” a feature documentary about the German fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh, as an executive producer, Variety reports. The film will be the feature directorial debut of the French novelist Alexandra Matine, whose books include “Scopophilia” and “La Pire Amie du monde”; she is also writing it. Maja Hoffmann and Human Humans are producing. Wenders backing another artist's portrait rather than directing it is an interesting division of labour: the name provides weight, while a first-time director gets the chair.
