The 45th Vancouver International Film Festival announced its 2026 juried awards on Wednesday night, with honours distributed across sections including Summit, Horizon, Tides, Arbutus and Vanguard.

Among the films taking top prizes: Geneviève Dulude-De Celles's "Nina Roza," Nyla Innuksuk's "In the Heart of the South" and Marie Clements's "How We Stand." Three titles, three directors, one festival doing what festivals are for — putting work in front of an audience that otherwise might never have heard of it.
