Ava DuVernay's '14th' Leads Critics Choice Documentary Nominations With Six

Ava DuVernay's '14th' leads this year's Critics Choice Documentary Awards nominations with six, including a best documentary feature nod, Variety reports. Close behind at five apiece are 'You Can See Everything' — Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim's examination of Elizabeth Holmes — and 'Nuisance Bear,' Gabriela Osio Vanden and Jack Weisman's polar bear migration story. Variety calls '14th' timely and viscerally moving. Nominations are not awards, but a field topped by a Holmes study and a bear migration is a pleasingly strange one.
