A Cyprus-Set Horror Film Sells to North America Before Its Sitges Screening

Dark Star Pictures, an L.A.-based distributor, has acquired North American rights to Motherwitch, the Cyprus-set horror film that screens at the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia next week. The acquisition was brokered by Arnaud Chevalier under his Paris-based sales boutique B-Rated International Sales.

The deal lands ahead of the festival slot, so the film arrives in Catalonia with its North American distribution already settled — a tidy position for a genre title heading into a festival built around discovery.
