A Coding Agent's Actual Job: Code Review and Faster Follow-Ups

OpenAI's account of a customer's work describes Anant Kumar, who builds tools to compare loan valuations and analyse credit agreements, using Codex for code review and for faster follow-ups.

The tasks are the interesting part: code review and keeping follow-ups moving, rather than the credit analysis itself. That is a modest claim and a specific one. The agent appears as a second pair of eyes on code, and as a way to shorten the gap between one question and the next. The narrower the claim, the more testable it is inside a real workflow — which is also the standard by which the vendor's own description should be judged.
