Vietnamese Police Arrest 12 in a Nightly Cat-Snatching Operation

Police in Vietnam have arrested 12 people suspected of prowling city streets at night and taking cats, according to NPR.

State media cited investigators who said the network recruited riders to move through neighborhoods on motorcycles after dark, trapping up to 10 cats a night. The number is what lingers: not a stray animal crossing the wrong path, but a nightly yield.
