The Beekeeper 2 Gets a Teaser and a January 2027 Release Date

Amazon MGM Studios released the first teaser for The Beekeeper 2 on Thursday. Timo Tjahjanto directs, Jason Statham returns as the retired "Beekeeper" Adam Clay, and the sequel to the 2024 action picture is set for theaters on Jan. 15, 2027.

The pitch is in the title of Deadline's first look: Clay is back to take on his makers. For a franchise built around one man's very specific retirement, that's a tidy bit of escalation — the original film's premise of an ex-operative pulled back into violence now points at the people who made him, rather than whatever drew him out the first time. January is also where modestly budgeted action films have tended to do their best business; this one is already claiming the date more than a year out.
