NASA spots a massive new crater on the Moon
PBS NewsHour reports that before-and-after lunar images show an impact from early 2024 that left a crater more than 700 feet across and 140 feet deep. Those dimensions make the discovery more concrete than the label “massive”: the report compares its width with the Roman Colosseum. The timing comes from the image comparison, not from the crater’s size alone.
