NASA's Administrator Will Fly an F-5 Before a Browns Game

NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman will pilot one of three F-5 fighter jets as part of the agency's Inspiration Tour flyover, kicking off a Cleveland Browns game in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sunday, Oct. 11. The ground half of the same pitch: fans can learn about NASA's return to the Moon under an Artemis dome, play interactive games and capture photos with a large inflatable rocket. It's an odd triangulation — a space agency borrowing an NFL crowd, a fighter-jet flyover and an inflatable model of a launch vehicle to talk about the Moon. Easy to mock, but far more people will see the inflatable rocket this weekend than will ever read a mission update.
