Menopause Treatment Guidance Gets Its First Update Since 2014

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has updated its guidelines for the treatment of symptoms commonly associated with menopause — the first revision since 2014, NPR reports. Clinical guidelines are slow-moving documents, which is exactly why the date on them does so much work: clinicians, trainees and patients read a decade-old edition as a settled position, whether or not it still matches current thinking. The arrival of a new edition resets that reference point.
