Lee Chang-dong returns with two marriages and a documentary crew

“Possible Love” is Lee Chang-dong's first film in eight years, and its premise is a collision of two marriages: a laid-off worker and his wife, and a documentary filmmaker and her husband, whose paths cross during the making of a documentary. Lee wrote it with Oh Jung-mi, and Netflix is distributing. A camera crew is a useful device for this kind of story — someone is always deciding what to point at and what to leave out, and marriage is where that editing instinct gets ugly.
