Kylie Minogue Nearly Brought Cammy Back to Street Fighter

Kylie Minogue's turn as Cammy — bazooka included — won over Street Fighter fans more than 30 years ago. Deadline reports she nearly returned for a cameo in the newly released Paramount adaptation, and that the lobbying came from Orville Peck, who plays Vega in the film and is a friend and collaborator of the Australian singer. Peck said he was trying to make it happen. Near-miss cameos are their own genre of film trivia, but this one has a better origin than most: the veteran was being courted by a castmate with her phone number, not by a studio marketing plan.
