A Character Actor's Range: Corman B-Movies, Anime Voices, and Scores of TV Guest Spots

Deadline reports the death of Michael Forest, a prolific and longtime character actor. His credits sketch a whole mode of working life in American screen acting: the B movies of Roger Corman, voice work on numerous anime projects, and guest appearances in scores of television series — The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin, The Twilight Zone, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Silk Stalkings and daytime soaps among them. That is the résumé of someone hired to be vivid for a scene and then disappear. The through-line isn't a genre, it's the willingness to turn up in all of them.
