Hundreds of Get-Well Notes for a Tortoise Facing Surgery

CBC reports that hundreds of get-well messages and art pieces have been sent to a tortoise ahead of his bladder surgery on Tuesday. There is no protocol for a get-well card addressed to a reptile, and none of it is really for him. Mail like this is aimed at the people who send it — which makes the pile of drawings the honest part of the story, and a nicer use of an afternoon than most of what the internet offers.
