Empty Lecture Halls and Burning Buildings: Albania's Student Protests

Deutsche Welle reports that Albanian students are spearheading a protest movement — empty lecture halls, burning buildings and demands for change — which it describes as the biggest challenge to Prime Minister Edi Rama in years. When the pressure comes from people who are supposed to be sitting in classrooms rather than from the usual party machinery, the institution they are meant to be inside becomes the site of the objection.
