AWS's Slide-Deck Recipe: One Supervisor Agent, Two Tool Types

AWS opens its walkthrough with a familiar kind of arithmetic: a financial services team spends significant time each week manually creating client PowerPoint presentations from quarterly reports, compliance documents and market analyses.

The design it describes is small and legible. The solution deploys a single supervisor agent on the Amazon Bedrock AgentCore runtime, built with the Strands Agents framework, and that agent orchestrates two kinds of tools — one for document generation, one for summarisation.

That's the whole idea: one coordinating agent, two tool types, a runtime underneath. Fewer moving parts than the usual twelve-box diagram, which is usually what decides whether an internal agent project survives contact with real work.
