Anna Kendrick Will Direct 'The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo' for Netflix

Anna Kendrick's next project behind the camera is an adaptation of Taylor Jenkins Reid's best-selling novel. The Netflix film was announced in June, and Kendrick is now describing herself as over the moon about it — she was in Zurich for the European premiere of Lauren Miller Rogen's 'Babies' when she spoke about the directing job. A bestseller with a built-in audience and a first-time-ish director talking about it at a festival is a familiar combination, though the film's own cast and script remain the open questions a festival aside doesn't answer.
