A Banner Over the Detroit River Says Thank You to Canada

A banner was flown above the Detroit River on Monday to thank Canadians on Thanksgiving, CBC reports — an initiative organized by groups in Detroit who wanted to commemorate the relationship between Windsor and the American city across the water.

The gesture has a specific address: two cities that face each other over a border river, one of them sending a thank-you note by air.
