Two Winners in One Korean Box-Office Weekend

Director Hur Jin-ho's political crime thriller “The Assassin(s)” held the top position at the South Korean box office in admissions over the Oct. 2–4 weekend, while the Japanese animated feature “Chiikawa the Movie: The Secret of the Mermaid Island” captured the frame's largest gross revenue. Two measures, two winners: a weekend can be led by the film that sold the most tickets or by the film that took the most money, and they need not be the same title.
