The Chips Built for AI Also Run Fluid Dynamics
AI accelerators are frequently used for machine learning, but that is not all they do. They can also enable other parallel applications, such as modeling the functions of molecules and speeding up simulations of fluid dynamics — processes that are very computationally expensive in their own right, with no neural network in sight.
