Ten Lions Found Dead in Tanzania's Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Ten lions have been found dead inside the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Tanzanian wildlife reserve, in a case that NPR reports is raising concerns about wildlife poisonings in East Africa. Lion poisoning in pastoralist regions usually sits at the intersection of livestock losses, compensation schemes and retaliation, which is why the count of dead animals tends to matter less than the reason they were killed.
