Sudden Restrictions on Battlefield Starlink Trimmed Some of Ukraine's Drone Capacity

Ukrainian drones lost some of their fighting capacity after restrictions were suddenly imposed on the battlefield use of the country's US-made Starlink communication terminals, officials said, per PBS NewsHour. The statement came as the capital endured another night of missile attacks.

It is a reminder of how much of modern drone warfare runs on links and hardware that no army fully controls. A fighting capability that can be trimmed this way is not a capability its user owns outright.
