Saudi Arabia Faces the Houthis Without an Obvious Ally
Deutsche Welle frames Riyadh's position as a bind rather than a battle plan: it is unclear how the Saudis can defuse the threat presented by the Houthis in neighbouring Yemen, or who they can turn to for help. The short list of possible partners is not encouraging. The US isn't interested, the Europeans are hedging, and nobody wants open conflict with Iran. That leaves the question of who, if anyone, Riyadh can rely on — a question the reporting raises without answering.
