Saskatoon jury convicts former Christian school principal on three assault counts

CBC reports that a Saskatoon jury found Duff Arthur Friesen, 68, the former principal of a private Christian school, guilty on three counts of assault. He had been accused of assaulting five former students with a weapon — a wooden paddle. The verdict resolves the charges at trial; the number of counts he was convicted on is lower than the number of alleged victims in the accusation CBC describes.
