One televised debate for Georgia's governor's race

Midterm coverage keeps tilting toward Congress, but PBS notes that 36 states are also holding elections for governor this year. Georgia is one of them — a purple state, in PBS's description — and its race will be shaped by a single televised encounter: the former Democratic mayor of Atlanta, Keisha Lance Bottoms, and the Republican businessman Rick Jackson held their first and only debate. A one-debate campaign compresses the contest into a small set of moments, which raises the value of every exchange and every missed line.
