Hundreds Arrested as French Student Protests Escalate

Student protests in France have grown in scale and intensity, Deutsche Welle reports, with violent clashes in some places leading to hundreds of arrests and dozens of injuries. Two things are happening at once in that description: the demonstrations are drawing more people, and the confrontations at their edges are getting more violent.
