FTC and Seven States Ask a Judge to Hold Martin Shkreli in Contempt
Martin Shkreli has been under a lifetime ban from the pharmaceutical industry since 2022. The Federal Trade Commission and the attorneys general of seven states allege he has violated it “flagrantly and repeatedly,” and on Tuesday they asked a federal judge to hold him in contempt. That characterization is theirs, not a court finding — the allegation of a flagrant, repeated violation is now a question for a judge to sort out.
