France selects Cannes prize‑winner 'Minotaur' for Oscars

France’s Oscar committee has chosen Andrey Zvyagintsev’s Cannes Grand Prize film “Minotaur” to represent the country in the international feature film race. The decision followed auditions with producers and distributors behind the five shortlisted titles, which included Mubi, Neon and Sony Pictures Classics.
