A 20-year-old Haitian student named Bel lost his legal immigration status in July, after the Supreme Court cleared the way for the Trump administration to end temporary protections for hundreds of thousands of Haitians.

He died by suicide a month after immigration authorities required him to wear an ankle monitor, PBS NewsHour reports.
